Kerry Sease, M.D., M.P.H., Medical Director
Dr. Sease received her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 1998. She then completed her Pediatric residency at the Greenville Health System in 2001. After residency, Dr. Sease completed a General Academic Pediatric Fellowship with the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, finishing in 2003. Dr. Sease returned to the Greenville Health System as faculty with the Department of Pediatrics in July 2003. She received the outstanding faculty teaching award her first year on faculty and served as Associate Program Director for the Pediatric training program from 2005-2006 until she took over as the program director in 2006. Dr. Sease’s academic interests include resident education, advocacy and obesity. In 2010 Dr. Sease received the 2010 Pediatrician of the Year award from Greenville Health System (GHS) Children's Hospital.
Erin Brackbill, M.D.
Dr. Brackbill graduated with Honors from Davidson College in 1993. She received her medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1999. During medical school she completed an additional one-year fellowship in community pediatrics in Africa. She finished her general pediatric residency at Rush Children’s Hospital in Chicago in 2002 and a chief residency in 2003. Dr. Brackbill then practiced for 3 years as an inpatient pediatric hospitalist at the University of Michigan Children’s Hospital. While there, she received the outstanding faculty teaching award. In 2006, she moved to Greenville with her family and practiced part time at New Horizon Family Health Services. She is excited to be at NEW IMPACT to help children lead healthier lives. Her professional interests include: preventing and treating obesity, pediatric education and healthcare for the underserved.
Laure Utecht, M.D.
Dr. Laure Utecht is originally from Erie, PA. She graduated summa cum laude from John Carroll University in University Heights, OH. After moving to South Carolina, Dr. Utecht attended The University of South Carolina School of Medicine and graduated with honors in 1997. During her Pediatric residency at the Greenville Health System she and her husband started their family in Greenville. Dr. Utecht was a founding physician of Carolina Pediatrics, where she practiced from 2000 to 2003. Since that time she has been a staff pediatrician at the GHS Children’s Hospital. She joined the NEW IMPACT team in the summer of 2011.
Cara Reeves, Ph.D., Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Reeves received her doctoral degree from The University of Mississippi in 2005. She completed a research fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2007, with an emphasis in pediatric psychology. Dr. Reeves worked in private practice in North Carolina for three years with CReATE Psychological Services, which focuses on comprehensive psychological testing for learning disorders, mood disorders, autism spectrum, substance abuse, and behavioral disorders. Dr. Reeves' research interests include pediatric oncology, ADHD, and pediatric weight management. She runs monthly support groups emphasizing challenges faced by many of our patients.
New Registered Dietitian
We are excited to announce the arrival of a new RD, who arrived Fall 2013. She is new to New Impact, but has several years of Pediatric nutrition experience. Details coming soon!
Dolores Strollo, Physician Practice Specialist
Dolores has an Associate's Degree in Administrative Office Technology and is a certified Physician Practice Specialist. She assists patients and staff with billing, scheduling and multiple daily issues. Dolores started in a temporary position in May 2011, and NEW IMPACT welcomed her as a full-time team member in November 2011. Her family includes her husband, three grown children and a grandson. In her spare time she enjoys reading, gardening, and hiking local waterfall trails.
